Bayern Munich Thrash Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 In Champions League

Robert Lewandowski Scored Four Goals As Bayern Munich Began The Defence Of Their Champions League Crown With A 9-2 Victory Over Dinamo Zagreb.

Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane, Eric Choupo-Moting And Mathys Tel Also Scored For The German Champions.

Bayern Munich began the defence of their Champions League crown in style with a 9-2 victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.

Robert Lewandowski scored four goals for the German champions, while Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane, Eric Choupo-Moting and Mathys Tel also got on the scoresheet.

The win was Bayern's biggest ever in the Champions League and equalled the record for the most goals scored in a single game in the competition.

Dinamo Zagreb had taken a shock lead through Mislav Orsic in the 12th minute, but Bayern were level just four minutes later through Gnabry.

Musiala put Bayern ahead in the 34th minute, before Lewandowski scored his first goal of the game just before half-time.

Bayern continued to dominate in the second half, with Sane making it 4-1 in the 50th minute.

Lewandowski scored his second goal of the game in the 53rd minute, before Choupo-Moting made it 6-1 in the 56th minute.

Lewandowski completed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute, before Orsic pulled a goal back for Dinamo Zagreb in the 71st minute.

Tel made it 8-2 in the 75th minute, before Lewandowski scored his fourth goal of the game in the 80th minute.

The win was Bayern's ninth in a row in all competitions and moved them to the top of Group E.
